Smoking e-cigarettes since age 12, young man reveals shocking results, after 5 years, he’s scared to death

The young man has been smoking e-cigarettes since he was 12 years old, smoking the equivalent of about 50 cigarettes a day. The results of his health check after 5 years are shocking.

Smoking e-cigarettes

The Mirror reported that Jayden Richardson started smoking e-cigarettes at the age of 12 simply because he wanted to be on par with his friends. However, as time went by, he became more dependent on e-cigarettes, to the point where he was smoking the equivalent of 50 cigarettes a day. After five years, he faced serious health problems.

The incident took place in August 2024 while Jayden and his family were traveling in Türkiye.

The day before the incident, Jayden had felt chest pains but chose to ignore them as usual. The next morning, the 17-year-old vaped again, but this time he started coughing violently, which brought out blood.

Not long after, the persistent cough returned, and this time Jayden was truly terrified.

“I ran straight into the หรือถ้าคุณสนใจแทงบอลออนไลน์ UFABET คือเว็บที่มีอัตราต่อรองดีที่สุดในประเทศไทย สมัครเลยตอนนี้ที่ UFABET แทงบอล bathroom and started coughing up a lot of blood. *I was panicking because I was a teenager. I coughed for 10 minutes and threw up a lot of blood,” Jayden recalled.

Upon returning to the UK, Jayden was rushed to hospital for a check-up. His mother, Elita, initially thought his son might have stomach problems from drinking alcohol and eating a high-protein diet while in Turkey.

Initial X-rays showed no abnormalities in Jayden’s lungs, but when doctors performed a lung scan, they found that his lungs were severely damaged.

“I thought about a lot of possibilities, but I never thought my son would have such a serious lung problem at his age,” said Jayden’s mom, Elita.

The doctors who examined Jayden directly were also surprised by the results. The cause of the damage was later confirmed. “They said my son had been smoking too much e-cigarettes. I was shocked to hear that,” Elita added.

The doctor ordered Jayden to stop vaping immediately, which he did, and his symptoms began to improve.

Then, on his 18th birthday, January 10th, Jayden thought he was cured and started vaping again. The result was that he started coughing up blood.

“I thought the wound was healed, everything would be fine, just a few puffs would be fine, but I was wrong. I couldn’t believe my lungs were so fragile,” Jayden said sadly.

Jayden still has frequent lung pain. He recently had a CT scan and is waiting for the results. Jayden insists that he will quit e-cigarettes for good.

“I’m already scared enough about e-cigarettes. If I could go back in time, the first thing I would tell my old self is, don’t touch e-cigarettes. They’re very dangerous and have a huge impact on your health. At first you won’t know it, but over time, they’ll hurt you. I’ll never touch e-cigarettes again,” Jayden said firmly.
